I worked on this trailer from concept to completion with a capture team of only four, contributing to screenshots, investment debug commands, scripted event overrides, and the creation of custom cinematics of Guardians and NPCs. The finished trailer was highly praised for its quality, highlighting the impact of our collaborative effort and streamlined workflows.
- Created custom NPC cinematic sequences for Cayde-6, integrating existing player emotes and cinematic animations to construct bespoke world interactions to fit the brief.
- Built an automated gameplay capture sequence featuring a Guardian and Cayde-6, eliminating the need for stitched recordings and enabling capture artists to focus entirely on camera work.
- Designed debug configs for player gear, weapon loadouts, mission events, and enemy combatant spawners to streamline testing, capture setup, and production workflows.
- Collaborated with capture artists to highlight newly introduced enemies through state machines and behavioral manipulation, forcing specific animation states for cinematic purposes.
- Adapted and refined a previously developed fireteam cinematic, adjusting timing and positional values to fit the new trailer shots.
